Maternity photos should take place between the 6th and 8th month; newborn photos should take place within the first 10 days after birth for the best results.  Scheduling your newborn photography session before the baby is 12 days old is best because this is when baby is sleepiest and most easily posed; your session will go much smoother if you have your session within this time frame.  All of the adorable images you see in this gallery were achieved when the babies were between 5 and 10 days old.
